Artisan knife with full handle in Aubrac wood – Unique piece

Discover an exceptional handcrafted knife, entirely handcrafted by a French master knifemaker. This technical knife combines noble materials with traditional know-how to give birth to a piece that is as elegant as it is efficient.

First and foremost, the cutler designs, shapes and assembles this knife from start to finish in his workshop. A single person carries out each manufacturing step. Thanks to this meticulous work, every detail reflects the passion and high standards of French craftsmanship.

The handle – The nobility of Aubrac wood

First of all, the cutler selects Aubrac wood, a natural material appreciated for its robustness and beauty.

This wood reveals a rich and authentic vein, where natural lines draw unique patterns. These variations give the neck a lively and warm character. Thus, each piece of wood has its own identity.

Then, the cutler shapes the knife into a full handle, which reinforces the solidity and balance of the whole.

In the center of the handle, it incorporates a stainless steel ring that brings a modern and elegant touch. This detail underlines the precision of the work and creates a harmonious contrast with the wood.

Unlike traditional models, this knife does not feature a shepherd’s cross on the left side of the handle, giving it a more sleek and contemporary aesthetic.

The spring – Precision craftsmanship

Then, the cutler makes a shiny stainless steel spring, which he guilloché entirely by hand. This work requires patience and mastery.

The guilloché brings relief and finesse to the knife. It also reveals the cutler’s artisanal signature.

At the top of the spring, he forges a stylized fly. Then, he chiseled it by hand to give it an elegant relief and a distinctive style.

The Blade – The Beauty of Damascus

Finally, the cutler installs a damascus steel blade.

Damascus is distinguished by its unique wavy patterns, created by the layering and forging of different layers of steel. This traditional technique gives the blade strength, flexibility and exceptional aesthetics.

Each damask blade has a unique design, comparable to an imprint.

A creation entirely made by a master cutler

From start to finish, a single master cutler carries out each step of the manufacturing process. He chooses the materials, shapes the pieces and makes all the finishes by hand.

Then, he adjusts and assembles the elements precisely in order to obtain a perfectly balanced knife.

Thanks to this complete craftsmanship, this knife becomes a true creation of French cutlery, both technical, elegant and durable.
