Maintenance tips for your Laguiole knife


Your Laguiole knife is guaranteed against all manufacturing defects during normal use of the knife and in compliance with the maintenance instructions below.

2/ Never immerse your Laguiole knife in water or even pass it under water

3/ Never let your Laguiole dry on its own, but wipe it well before folding and storing it.

Maintenance of the blades of your Laguiole


Sandvik blades (12c27) in high-end stainless steel, easily sharpened either by yourself or by a professional.
Clean the blade with a damp sponge or cloth and wipe it properly immediately.


The Carbon XC75 blade, a traditional blade that turns gray with use, natural oxidation. However, it requires ongoing maintenance because the blade can rust in the event of poor maintenance.


Clean the blade with a damp sponge and wipe immediately, during a meal, between each dish, wipe the blade on bread crumbs which will reduce a possible taste of steel.
