Discover this 12 cm handcrafted knife, entirely handcrafted according to cutlery traditions. Each piece is the result of a know-how passed down from generation to generation, where the cutler’s patient gesture gives birth to an authentic, unique object deeply rooted in the material.
Its handle in Aubrac wood, the emblematic species of the top of the same name, is chosen for its natural robustness and its singular visual character. Aubrac wood is distinguished by its density, its exceptional resistance to time and climatic variations, as well as its warm shades ranging from golden blonde to deep brown. Its tight fibers provide a comfortable and secure grip, while its excellent stability makes it an ideal material for a craft knife that is meant to last. This local wood, often made from oaks or beeches from the Aubrac region, carries within it all the soul of a harsh and authentic terroir.
On the left side of the knife, a Shepherd’s cross enriches the whole, bringing a traditional signature steeped in history.
The blade made of cluster steel, Balbach, is forged using an age-old technique that gives the knife a long-lasting edge, increased strength and a unique metallurgical pattern. Each blade bears the trace of the hammer, a reflection of rigorous and precise manual work.
The knife also features a spring and plates entirely guilloché by hand, a true demonstration of craftsmanship. The patterns sculpted one by one make each piece unrepeatable. The forged fly adds a meticulous finish that signs the quality of the whole.
This Aubrac wooden knife is not just a tool: it is an authentic piece of craftsmanship, shaped with passion, ideal for lovers of beautiful blades, collectors and all those looking for a durable, unique object full of identity.
