Forge de Laguiole Le DAYAT All Stainless Steel Table Knives (Set of 6)

Discover the DAYAT table knives, a creation signed Forge de Laguiole and offered in a box of 6. This one-piece knife is the culmination of a unique collaboration between Forge de Laguiole and the Jean-Jaurès University of Toulouse.
Born from a project combining innovation, tradition and transmission, it perfectly embodies the spirit of the forge.

To design this new model, three students in the Transdisciplinary Master of Design had the opportunity to work in the heart of the forge. Their mission: to imagine an elegant, functional and resolutely modern table knife. Thanks to this immersive experience, they have created an object that combines finesse, ergonomics and craftsmanship.

The name DAYAT, which means “to cut” in Béarn patois, reflects this desire to combine authenticity and modernity. Each knife bears witness to the work of the material, the precise gesture and the passion that drives Forge de Laguiole.
This project also illustrates the forge’s commitment to supporting the creativity of young talent while preserving its traditional heritage.
